The room is pitch black, there is zero light source. I’m paralyzed with anxiety. If I take a step forward, will I plunge downward? A step to the left or right could be disastrous. Yet, a decision must be made. I feel the presence of others. If I ask for assistance will my heart be met equally with compassion? Or will my trust be breached causing me harm? This dark space is frightening.
A door opens, not all the way, only a crack. A small beam of light suggests a way out of the darkness. It offers a different path for life.
Isaiah 41:13
“For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.'”
